Abstract:

This article uses LMDI method to calculate the change of energy consumption of Beijing's and China's automobile industry during the year 2002-2009 from four aspects: the total effect, the production effect, the structural effect and the intensity effect. The results show that either for Beijing's or for national automobile industry, the production effect and the structural effect all improve the consumption of energy, but the intensity effect plays a prohibitive role in the increase of energy consumption; when compared with the energy consumption of national automobile industry, the increasing trend of Beijing's automobile industry energy consumption's total effect is much more obvious, the production effect and the structural effect are greater than that of national automobile industry, and the intensity effect of consumption should play a smaller role than that of the national automobile industry in reducing the energy consumption.
