Abstract:
Recent years, the oil and gas industry of China has made great progress in the overseas markets under the guidance of "going out" policy. The assessment for the investment climate of the overseas target regions and countries is one of the critical issues in decision-making and implementation of overseas projects. This article investigates a model for the assessment of investment climate of different countries. The model method is composed of weighed calculation, Delphi Method, and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with main factors analysis. The investment climate of 32 countries selected has been researched under this model. Except Vietnam, all other 31 countries fall into the first and second group according to their complex credits. Regarding the five regions in the world, we present the suggestions for each region on the investment climate for Chinese oil and gas industry, which can be referred when the Chinese oil companies are investing into these regions and countries in the future.
