Abstract:

A RE(2)O(3)-Mo cathode which contains Lu(2)O(3) and Y(2)O(3) with a certain weight ratio was made using a Sol-Gel technique and the spark plasma sintering technique. The maximum secondary emission yield (delta m) of this cathode could reach 4.6 while the activation temperature is only 900 degrees C.
