Abstract:
This paper establishes a two-stage super-efficiency data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to measure the technological innovation efficiencies of 30 regions and 34 sub-industries in the manufacturing industry in 2005. Based on the two-stage super-efficiency model, we can judge whether the inefficiency appear in the first stage, the second stage or both. Besides, we can also arrange in an order the efficient units. Applying the data of the manufacturing industry to this model, this paper studies empirical research on the innovation efficiency of manufacturing industry and draws some crucial conclusions.
