Abstract:

In order to improve the simulation accuracy of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system, a collaborative simulation method with high simulation accuracy and low requirements on computer performance is proposed. A 3kW PMSM is researched. Firstly, the 2D finite element model of the PMSM is established using ANSYS Maxwell. Secondly, the equivalent circuit extraction (ECE) model is established based on the 2D finite element model. Meanwhile, the motor control algorithm model and inverter circuit model are built using MATLAB Simulink and ANSYS Simpler, respectively. Finally, the ECE model, the control model, and the inverter model are used for collaborative simulation. The co-simulation results and the Simulink simulation results are compared with the experiment. The experiment results show that the co-simulation accuracy of total harmonics distortion (THD) of phase current and the high-frequency current harmonics can be improved by 36.8% and 23.5%, respectively. © 2023 IEEE.
