Abstract:
Wireless mesh networks (WMNs), with the characteristics of rapid deployment, flexible networking, decentralized planning, etc., are widely used for emergency services such as police, fire and emergency medical services to improve the efficiency of emergency communication. For rapid response to civil aviation emergency incidents, secure and effective emergency communication becomes particularly important for better decision making whether to save lives or to preserve properties. In this paper, we propose a mesh network architecture adapted to civil aviation emergency communication and a user admission scheme for civil aviation emergency mesh networks based on an enhanced elliptic curve signcryption. The results of security and efficiency analysis show that the proposed scheme can effectively preserve the properties of confidentiality, authenticity, privacy and behavior tracing between the emergency responding personnel and the emergency command center and lower the cost of computation and communication by 20% and 25% respectively in comparison to user admission schemes based on traditional elliptic curve cryptography.
