Abstract:

A Fully Automatic Static-dynamic Triaxial Shear Apparatus was purchased by Beijing University of Technology recently. It has many good functions that many tests can be done using the apparatus, including ordinary static and dynamic triaxial shear test, mixed (radial-axial) coupling shear test, and so on. It also can carry out diversified special complex stress paths and graduated loading or unloading static shear test. All the shear process can be controlled by computer automatically. In this paper, the equipment function of the Fully Automatic Static-dynamic Triaxial Shear Apparatus is systematically introduced. Then, some tests are carried out, and the test results indicate that the apparatus has good precision and wide applicability. So, the soil's mechanics capability under complex stress conditions can be done using this apparatus.
