Abstract:

The effect of the inlet pressure on the performance of the vortex tube which was designed by the authors was investigated by experiment with air as medium. The experiment results show that the cooling temperature effect, the unit refrigeration and the COP of the vortex tube obtained remarkable increase with the increase of inlet pressure at the inlet pressure lower than a certain value. However, they are decreased sharply with the increase of inlet pressure when the inlet pressure reaches a certain value.
