The　actual　stipulation　on　rural　water　quality　for　drinking　established　20　years　ago　are　not　suitable　to　the　present　rural　development　and　the　water　surroundings　due　to　the　low　standard　and　the　incomplete　standard　system.　The　standard　system　of　RWS　is　essential　to　the　safety　of　RWS.　The　paper　puts　forward　the　whole　standard　system　of　RWS,　through　dividing　the　RWS　into　two　stages　of　rural　water-drinking　safety　and　the　tap-water　supply　of　the　well-off　level,　which　includes　four　facets　such　as　the　amount　water　used,　supplied　water　quality,　convenience　of　getting　water　and　reliability　of　water　sources.　A　fairly　complete　standard　system　for　rural　water　supply　is　provided,　which　could　be　a　reference　to　drawing　standards　on　rural　water　supply.
