Abstract:

As a factor of the technical performance evaluation system of the urban traffic networks, accessibility plays an important role in the overall performance evaluation of urban traffic networks and the urban traffic planning. This paper introduces the concept of the urban traffic accessibility and makes an analytical and comparative study on it's five traditional models. Meanwhile, merits and demerits of these five traditional models in theory and application are also proposed in this paper as well as the new measurement models of the urban traffic accessibility. It has great significance for urban road construction, infrastructure construction and technical performance evaluation of urban traffic networks. © 2011 IEEE.
