Abstract:
Trusted Computing Group (TCG) presented Trusted Computing Specifications, which ensured the security of the platform and applications by measuring and verifying the integrity of the components. The boot process is the base of the operating system, thus implementing trusted boot is of great significance. However, the trusted boot process may be blocked because of some corrupted components, which is not allowed to happen. In order to solve this case, this paper proposed a failure recovery mechanism based on USB Key, which includes comparison of the existing solutions in this field, analyzing the recovery process in the trusted chain transmission based on USB Key, and describing the overall design of the program, PC-side module and USB Key device-side module detailed design. Finally, the paper makes a discussion to the desired result of the solutions. © 2010 IEEE.
