Abstract:

As an important alternative for ThO2-W filament cathode, La 2O3 doped Mo filament has aroused a lot of interest in the past several decades [1]. Carburization, a key technical process for the treatment of filament cathode, has a great effect on the emission property of the cathode. In this paper, the carburization method and the carburization mechanism have been studied in order to obtain the carburized La 2O3 doped Mo filament cathode which could provide good emission property. © 2010 IEEE.
