Abstract:
To optimize the layout of urban integrated passenger transport hub, this paper summarizes typical patterns of hub layout domestically and overseas. The main patterns are including direction-based, center-based, centralization, and balanced. This paper will take Beijing as an example, according to the urban population growth in recent 60 years, the proportion change in each industry, the area expansion in the developed urban area and the historical inheritance and dynamic change of the hub layout. The analysis pays attention to the dialectical relationship between the integrated passenger transport hub and the urban spatial structure, such as mutual promotion, mutual contradiction, and seeking development. Based on this, this paper will put forward some suggestions to optimize the layout of the integrated passenger transport hub. © 2018 American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). All rights reserved.
