Abstract:
This paper proposes a new adaptive analysis method for ICP-AES, which can handle background and spectral overlap interferences. It is different from the traditional method in that the component concentration values of a sample can be estimated directly by adaptive filtering and the selection of background references is independent of spectra. The power of the new method is illustrated with simulated and real spectra.
