Abstract:

The effects of quenching and tempering temperature, quenching method, tempering time on microstructure, mechanical properties and wear resistance of high speed steel (HSS) roll were summarized. The forming mechanism and eliminating measure of HSS roll crack during the heat treatment are introduced. At last, the novel heat-treatment processes for improving the property of HSS roll are put forward.
