Abstract:
One 1/7 scale specimen of coupled shear wall with deep coupling beam, steel tube-reinforced concrete columns and concealed steel trusses was tested under low-frequency cyclic loading, in which its shear span ration is 2.0. The load-carrying capacity, ductility, hysteretic property, energy dissipation and the effect of the concealed steel trusses on the seismic behavior are analyzed. The results show that the kind of coupled shear wall has better ductility, and the ductility and load-bearing capacity of the coupled shear wall can be improved greatly by setting the concealed steel trusses in the deep coupling beam. The wing walls with steel tube-reinforced concrete columns bring out the advantages of higher compression capability, higher load-carrying capacity, and better ductility. This composite shear wall has the better ductility yielding mechanism.
