Abstract:
The effects of ultrasonic frequency and power on the crystallization efficiency and morphology of sodium aluminate crystal were examined, and the optimum process conditions obtained: crystallization temperature 60°C, ultrasonic frequency 45 kHz and power 100 W. At these conditions, the crystalline product was monosodium aluminate hydrate (4NaAlO2·5H2O), the crystal morphology had flaky, eight-face, irregular and other forms. Ultrasound could significantly shorten the crystallization induction period by 66%, the conductivity of the solution increased 1.5 times, and the SiO2 concentration decreased to 5 g/L.
