Translated Abstract
The application of nonlinear viscous damping in tuned mass damper ( TMD) was studied.Based on the slowly varying parameter method, the analytical solution of steady-state response with nonlinear viscous damping TMD damping structural displacement under harmonic excitation was derived.Furthermore, the optimization parameter formula of nonlinear viscous damping TMD was studied.Aimed at the dynamic magnification factor of main structural displacement, the damping effects of linear and nonlinear viscous damping TMD were compared and analyzed.It was verified that the nonlinear viscous damping TMD had a more superior seismic behavior than the linear viscous damping, and the optimal damping ratio was affected by the excitation amplitude.
