Translated Title
APPLICATION OF MODIFIED NEMEROW INDEX METHOD FOR GROUNDWATER QUALITY ASSESSMENT
Translated Abstract
In groundwater quality assessment,Nemerow index method has advantage of simpler mathematical process.Traditional Nemerow index method has some disadvantages, such as the maximum contaminant factor was highlighted and weight of each index was not considered. In order to solve these unreasonable aspects, the weights of groundwater quality indexes were calculated by a comprehensive weighting method based on variation coefficient and entropy method,in which the difference of impact of each index on environment was considered for making the evaluation results more reasonable.Through a case application, compared with the traditional method, the modified evaluation method is proved to be more practical and reliable.
