This article take patent information of China Intellectual Property (CNIPR), USPTO , SOOPAT, World Intellectual Property Office ( WIPO ) patent database as the basis, make a comparative analysis among the patent data of Beijing, the U-nited States, Japan and other cities of China , mainly patent application, patent cooperation rate, patent maintain period, patent licensing rate, technical invention activity index and so on. On this foundation, the paper analyzes Beijing biological industry’s present situation, including the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats. Finally, the paper put forward countermeasure of biotechnology indus-try in Beijing from the construction of industrial generic technology innovation system, the construction of international patentsconstruct pa-tent alliance. Patent analysis reflects Beijing biological industry development from the quantitative angleprovides a new train of thought for the study of intensive industry development.
