Performance of Beam String Structure under fire

Base on the utility empirical formula of temperature elevation in large space and the whole three-dimensional finite element model of Beam String Structure,the fire-resistant performance of the whole structure is studied.The pre-stress of strings,temperature field,displacement and stress characteristics,and failure modes of the structures under different fire areas and heights are analyzed.The ultimate fire-resistant durations of Beam String Structure under different fires are obtained.The results show that:the Beam String Structure can not bear any loads due to the large local deformation,which leads to instability and collapse of the whole structure.The weak area of the structure is near the centre and the structural deformation is asymmetric.The major factors contributing to the failure of BSS are the larger initial stress and the degradation of the strength and stiffness of structural member under high temperature.
