Source Identification of an Ambient SO_2 Pollution Process in Beijing
Translated Abstract
An integrated MM5/CAMx modeling system was applied to simulate a SO_2 pollution process in Beijing, and a technique called SO_2 source apportionment technology was used for investigating SO_2 contributions from different sources and regions in this pollution process. Result indicated that Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chongwen, Xuanwu, Chaoyang, Fengtai, Shijingshan and Haidian were the main SO_2 contribution regions in Beijing which accounted for 72.96% of SO_2 contribution ratio, while Hebei, Tianjin, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia were the main SO_2 contribution regions outside of Beijing which accounted for 19.09% of SO_2 contribution ratio, and heating boiler and industry boiler were the main SO_2 contribution sources in Beijing which accounted for 60.09% of SO_2 contribution ratio. SO_2 source apportionment technology is a comprehensive, scientific and efficient tool to analysis of SO_2 source contribution. This technology provides an easy way to identify sensitive region and industry, and provides scientific proof to establish city and regional emission control and reduce plan.
