Influence of Al_2O_3 Content on the Microstructure and Properties of TiO_2-Al_2O_3 Ceramic Coatings by Plasma Spraying
Translated Abstract
TiO_2-Al_2O_3 ceramic coatings were produced by air plasma spraying system. The microstructure and phase composition of the coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrical resistivity of the coatings was measured by electrifying heating device. The results show that the TiO_2-Al_2O_3 ceramic coatings are mainly composed of rutile, anatase, magneli, α-Al_2O_3 and γ-Al_2O_3. The mircohardness and electrical resistivity of the coatings increase with the increase of alumina content in the coatings. The electrical resistivity of the coatings decreases with the increase of heating temperature.
