英文标题
Experiment on basic mechanical properties of recycled concrete after freeze-thaw cycles
英文摘要
In order to study the freeze-thaw durability of the recycled concrete, the fast freeze-thaw cycle tests have been carried out on fifty-four cube specimens and twenty-seven prism specimens with different replacement ratio of recycled coarse or fine aggregate.Based on the experiment, the surface features, the mass loss rate, the change of relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of prism specimens, and the loss rate of compression strength of cube specimens are analyzed after 25, 50, 75, and 100 freeze-thaw cycles, respectively. The changing rules on the mass loss rate and the relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of specimens with the increase of freeze-thaw cycles are analyzed as well. The recycled aggregate and its recycled aggregate replacement ratio, which are suitable for building structures in cold area, are proposed.Research shows that the surface features, the mass loss rate and the change of relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of the specimens with the replacement ratio of the recycled coarse aggregate of 50%and the fine aggregate of natural sand are not so much different compared to ordinary concrete after 100 freeze-thaw cycles.Through reasonable design, the recycled concrete with replacement rate of recycled coarse aggregate no more than 50% can be used in building structures in cold areas.
