Translated Abstract
In order to effectively simulate the seismic performance of reinforced concrete(RC)bridge piers,a improved hysteresis model for RC bridge piers is proposed considering stiffness degradation,strength degradation and pinching effect based on Bowc-Wen differential model.The controlling parameters for imporved hysteresis model are determinated and hysteresis curves of bridge piers under different failure models are obtained using this improved model.The results shows force-displacement relationship hysteresis curve of specimen bridge columns derived from theoretical analysis is well agree with experimental results.The improved hysteretic model can be adopted to simulate the hysteresis behavior of RC bridge piers using MATLAB programm.
