New Building Beijing Archive is a steel frame structure. There are some local roofs of truss structure in second, fourth and seventh floor. The fourth floor as shown in Figure 1 consists of two lengthways trusses and seven transverse trusses. Several trusses were assembled into a whole in advance and lifted. Because of the discontinuity in geometries and stiffness which result in high stress concentrations and complicated mechanical properties, three dimensional finite element analyses of global truss structure is modeled by the present work, to simulate truss lifting construction process of all structure stress distribution, the size of the vertical displacement, lifting point reaction in a variety of situations and the effect for beam-column connection. The success of this case provided useful experience and engineering practice of the applied technique of integral lifting with asymmetric lifting points.
