The　personal　digital　assistant　gathers　lightning　data　in　lightning　monitoring　system.　The　paper　designs　the　software　functional　block　diagram　of　the　handset　and　realizes　the　wireless　data　adopter　through　the　custom　communication　protocol.　The　functions　of　handsets　with　second　development　on　application　software　include　wireless　data　adopter,　data　management,　and　man-machine　interaction　etc.　Finally,　we　test　and　verify　the　software　utility　and　expansibility　by　PDA　handsets　and　the　terminal　sets.
