Abstract:

In order to overcome the shortcomings of voltage source inverter for permanent magnet synchronous motor in electric vehicle, vector control strategy of bidirectional Z source inverter based on maximum gain SVPWM is studied, and a novel SVPWM control method is proposed that DC bus voltage changes related to PMSM speed. By taking advantage of the boost and buck characteristics of Z source inverter, PMSM can run above rated speed only by increasing DC bus voltage without flux-weakening. Simulation results prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.
