Abstract:
The existing literature on industrial cluster has resulted in confusion about its evolution. This article examines the concerning literature in an attempt to find the common ground. From a new perspective, the key characteristics of evolution process are analyzed from the different aspects, i.e., the evolutionary force, the evolutionary mechanism and the evolutionary path. The findings show that those three levels of evolution are inter-related; therefore as a result, the evolution of the industrial cluster becomes a complicated phenomenon. This article finally concludes that from this perspective the research on the evolution of the industrial clusters will be on its right way.
