Abstract:

Indoor formaldehyde pollution did a lot of harm to our health. Aimed to control indoor formaldehyde pollution effectively, at the first, the qualities and sources, hazards, factors that influenced the indoor formaldehyde concentration especially the temperature and humidity, were introduced in this paper. The results in relative papers showed that the indoor formaldehyde concentration increased with the increasing of the temperature and humidity. After these academic results were listed, the indoor formaldehyde's data in Beijing in 2005 were analyzed. Those data were gained from Indoor Environment Testing Center of Beijing University of Technology. For making out those relations among the temperature, humidity and the indoor formaldehyde concentration, the lineal coefficients among the mean temperature, the mean the month mean humidity and formaldehyde concentration were calculated. In the mean time, for explaining those relations more complete, the lineal coefficients among the mean temperature, the mean humidity and the percent of up-standard samples were calculated. The results indicated the temperature's influence more than the humidity on the month mean formaldehyde concentration and the percent of up-standard samples in each month. Then based on the different characteristics of indoor formaldehyde pollution in the decorating and decorated houses, different methods to control indoor formaldehyde pollution were introduced respectively.
