Abstract:
Swept-sine method is an accepted method used in oscilloscope calibration, which can achieve accurate amplitude response of oscilloscope. But the equipment used in swept-sine method is complicated and expensive, and can't obtain phase response. Nose-to-nose calibration technology mentioned in this paper is a new kind of oscilloscope calibration method. It can obtain not only amplitude response but also phase response and not be accepted by metrology of the world yet. Nose-to-nose calibration technology and swept-sine method are both introduced in this paper. Frequency responses got from the two methods are compared, and result indicates very nice coherence of two methods. It validated that Nose-to-nose calibration technology is an effective oscilloscope calibration method in frequency response. Authors of the paper recommend nose-to-nose calibration technology because both amplitude response and phase response can be achieved by it.
