Most　agents　select　their　copartners　based　on　the　ability　report　of　their　partner　candidates　in　multi-agent　system　(MAS).　Only　after　an　agent　has　used　the　ability　of　its　copartner,　does　the　agent　know　the　real　quality　of　the　ability.　So　the　candidates　may　practise　ability　report　deception.　This　deception　is　harmful　to　the　agent　cooperation　in　MAS.　We　give　an　asymmetric　information　based　model　for　analyzing　agent　ability　report　deception　in　multi-agent　cooperation;　then　we　analyze　the　usual　agent　copartner　selection　methods　with　this　model.　We　also　give　some　approaches　to　control　the　agent　ability　report　deception.　This　model　provides　a　theoretical　tool　for　analyzing　and　controlling　the　agent　ability　report　deception　in　MAS.
