Abstract:

Kick-out pulse is the key signal in Nose-to-Nose calibration procedure. It is the foundation of the theory. So, study kick-out pulse caught people's high attentions. A new method to analysis the kick-out pulse was promoted in this paper. The excitation signal waveform which generates kick-out pulse was found based on the analysis of the unbalance sampler circuit. The conclusion is that it is the leakage of the strobe pulse that generates kick-out pulse on the input connector when the offset voltage is nonzero. Compared with S parameters xanalysis, it is simple to undestand and the concept is clea. Simulations confirmed the analysis.
