The　family　business　is　a　complex　adaptive　system,　often　accompanied　by　the　evolution　of　some　complex　phenomenon,　such　as　emergence,　nonlinearity,　mutation,　self-organization　and　so　on.　Therefore,　regardless　of　corporate　or　the　family　business　history,　we　need　the　perspective　of　the　historical　complexity　to　inquire　the　way.　Studying　on　the　development　of　family　business,　like　necessity　and　chance,　linear　and　nonlinear,　certainty　and　uncertainty,　predictability　and　unpredictability,　order　and　chaos,　changes　and　immutable　nature,　heritage　and　innovation,　are　necessary.　To　this　end,　we　first　briefly　review　the　history　of　modern　Chinese　enterprises　and　the　characteristics　of　the　history　of　the　family　business.　Second,　we　have　a　brief　reflection　for　historical　determinism.　Third,　a　brief　introduction　to　the　basic　elements　of　the　complexity　of　historical　are　showed.　Finally,　we　explore　on　the　characteristics　of　the　fate　of　the　Chinese　family　business　based　on　the　complexity　of　historical　perspective.
