摘要:
Bone drilling is a standard surgical procedure. High drilling temperature can reduce the biological activity of bone tissue, cause thermal damage, and possibly reduce drilling quality. This study was based on the simulation of the surgical drilling process with the finite element method (FEM). The drilling temperature was predicted through the response surface method (RSM) and obtained the minimum temperature and its corresponding drilling parameter combination. In this study, residual and variance analyses were performed on the drilling temperature prediction model and proved that the model fitting effect was good and the reliability was high. Furthermore, this study analyzed the influence trend of three parameters affecting drilling temperature: drill diameter, rotational speed, and feeding speed. It has a specific reference value for orthopedic clinical surgery. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
