The proposed study introduces a novel structural design for the control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor, which incorporates an equivalent input interference estimator. The control strategy employed by the controller is the PI control method, while the estimator utilizes a hybrid approach that combines a state observer with a low pass filter. Under this framework, both the controller and the estimator may be designed in a way that complies with the separation principle. The voltage and current values that were obtained on the stator side were used as inputs in the development of a motor speed estimator that was on the basis of an extended Kalman filter (EKF). This was done so that the motor speed could be estimated in real time. The findings of the simulation indicate that the estimator exhibits a high degree of estimation accuracy across a broad spectrum of speed. Additionally, the controller effectively mitigates unknown interference and improve the performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor. Finally, the method under consideration was subjected to experimental validation on dSPACE, thereby exhibiting its precision. © 2023 IEEE.
