This paper deals with the periodic-sampling-based dynamic event-triggered leader-following consensus of the singleintegrator multiagent system under a fixed weighted directed communication topology. A novel periodic dynamic event-triggered strategy is proposed by improving the triggering condition. The proposed event-triggered strategy can achieve larger triggering intervals than the existing strategies and thus effectively reduce the triggering number. Finally, simulation examples are given to illustrate the validity of the proposed theoretical results. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
