摘要:
In order to obtain suitable homogeneous annealing process for high zinc and ultra-high strength aluminum alloy, the effects of two-step homogenization annealing process on microstructure and mechanical properties were studied by optical microscopy (OM), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results show that the overheating temperature of the alloy homogenized at 400°C for 4 h is 471°C; the best two-step homogenization process of the alloy after T6 artificial aging(120°C for 24 h)is firstly heated at 400°C for 4 h, and then heated at 467°C for 30 h. After annealing by the two-step homogenizing process, element segregation in the ingot alloy is obviously eliminated, and eutectic phase decreases significantly, and precipitated phase of as-extruded alloy is relatively small and distributed evenly, the mechanical properties of the alloy can be improved significantly.
