Municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) plays a crucial role in converting waste treatment into energy. However, the incineration process inevitably produces persistent organic poison pollutants such as Dioxin (DXN). DXN has potential risks to human health and the ecological environment. It is very important to know the boundary conditions of DXN in the process of its formation, combustion, regeneration, adsorption, and emission. This paper addresses the challenges associated with dioxin detection methods and cost by proposing a numerical simulation approach for insight DXN emission concentrations of MSWI process through multi-software coupling. Specifically, FLIC, ASPEN Plus, and ASPEN adsorption are used to couple to simulate the entire process. Simulation results show that the removal rate of DXN by bag filter is between 57.51% and 99.61%, and the emission concentration of DXN under the benchmark working condition is 0.0589 ng TEQ/Nm3. This study offers mechanistic support for controlling pollutant emission of MSWI process and serves as a valuable reference for practical engineering applications. © 2024 IEEE.
