Abstract:
A continuous beam bridge is the main type of urban viaduct. Dimensional and multi ground motion need to be considered in the study of multi-span continuous bridge because of the longer span and the more cross. It is more effective to perform shaking table tests incorporated with numerical simulation to ensure the reality of the learning. However, these tests are difficult to conduct due to the scale and number of traditional shaking tables. As a result, a 1:10 scaled model of a viaduct is designed and manufactured to conduct the shaking table test on the multi-shaking table array system under longitudinal and transverse ground motion excitations. Dynamic characteristic parameters are identified, and the dynamic response is measured. A comparison between the FE simulation and the test values is conducted, which shows that in general, both of them are in coincidence with each other.
