In the fiber-PTFE board and rubber combined isolation bearings, fiber cloth or PTFE board is as reinforced layer, which bounds to the lateral deformation of the rubber layer. Due to the difference in reinforced layer, the bearing mechanical properties is changed to some extent. In order to study the horizontal mechanical properties of bearings, 4 groups of isolation bearings were designed to take the horizontal shear test. The results show that during the process of repeated loading, the mechanical properties of bearings is stable, the reinforced layers have little influence on the horizontal stiffness of bearings, in addition, the equivalent damping ratio of bearings is increased with the fiber cloth layer increasing. Especially under the larger shear deformation, the fiber-PTFE board and rubber combined isolation bearings have higher equivalent damping ratio and better performance of energy consumption.
