Grasping　development　status　and　tendency　of　the　solar　cell　technology　is　of　important　significance　in　improving　the　competitiveness　of　a　country　in　this　industry.　Patents　include　important　information　of　technology.　So　this　paper　chooses　the　Derwent　patent　database　to　study　the　worldwide　solar　cell　technology.　Through　quantitative　analysis　of　the　annual　patent　distribution,　the　country　distribution,　the　application　distribution　and　other　aspects　to　fully　reveal　the　status　quo　of　innovative　and　the　development　trend　of　solar　cell　industry.　This　paper　provide　factual　basis　and　decision　support,　which　can　assist　the　government,　research　institutions　and　enterprises　to　establish　development　plans　and　perform　relevant　research.
