In order to study the effects of natural curing ages and types of fiber reinforced plastic on the compressive behaviore of concrete, the mechanical properties of long-age concrete columns confined by laminated hybrid fiber sheets, which made by carbon fiber, aramid fiber, glass fiber, basalt fiber and polyethylene fibers, under axial compression were researched experimentally in this paper, failure configuration, bearing capacity and deformation behavior were all studied. The results show that when curing ages are 2 a (or 3 a), HFRP sheets significantly increase the bearing capacity of long-age concrete columns, which compressive strengths are increased by 1.19~1.83 times. The natural curing age has little effect on the bearing capacity of concrete columns confined by HFRP after 28 d. And when curing ages are 2 a (or 3 a), HFRP sheets significantly improve the deformation behavior of long-age concrete columns, the displacement ductility indices are increased by 0.8~3.5 times.
