Abstract:

In the process of blast wave numerical simulation, the accuracy of blast wave propagation is strongly dependent on the size of finite element mesh of air and explosive. Nowadays, most of the commonly used methods of blast wave numerical simulation are aiming at one certain equivalent weight, thus, these methods have limitations in application. In order to solve the problem, this paper proposes a mesh generation method taking account of the equivalent weight and conducts amount of calculations by using the finite element software LS-DYNA. The results indicate that this method provides not only better applicability, but also higher accuracy of numerical simulation by concerning computational efficiency.
