摘要:

Aiming at the defect identifying problem for guided wave inspection, the energy distribution of various guided wave modes in the defect scatter wave field are determined from the investigation of the relationship between the amplitudes of the time reversal detection echoes and the geometrical characteristics of the defect in the pipeline. According to that, a time reversal guided wave defect identification method is provided. Based on numerical simulation results, some characteristic parameters are chosen for describing such relationship and this defect identification method is further validated by using cluster analysis method. © 2010 Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
