With the basic idea to reduce the contact stress between clips and tendons, this paper developed a new pre-stressed CFRP tendons wedge-sleeve anchorages. The anchor system includes an anchor ring, a clip and a soft metal sleeve. The anchorage system is functioned through the pre-pressure to install the components, in order to achieve the lateral pressure and friction between FRP bars and sleeve, sleeve and clip, clip and anchor ring. Based on the 20-group tests, the effect of the parameters on the anchorage efficiency was studied in detail, such as the anchorage length, the conical angle difference, the material types and thickness of the sleeves. The experimental results show that the improved wedge-sleeve anchorage can efficiently anchor the CFRP tendons when aluminum sleeves are used. All the anchorage efficiency coefficients of the 120 mm anchor assembly under static loads are more than 0.95, which provides potential engineering application prospect.
