This paper introduced the experimental study of a duct heat store system. In one storage cycle, charge period, storage period and discharge period were investigated respectively, and soil temperatures and water contents in the store center, at the edge of the store and at different distances from the store, were measured. The results showed that heat loss in the charge process was the largest in one cycle; Temperature increase of the store caused significant variation of the water contents of the soil: the water content on the store boundary was the highest, and from the store boundary along to either the center or the outside of the store, the water content decreased gradually; The water content of the store center was only 0.12%. Discharge efficiency reached about 43% after two months upon the end of the charge period. It could be concluded that the solar seasonal storage system with borehole heat exchangers is feasible, and it has good prospect in the future.
