Abstract:

In this paper, Structural Engineering Experiment Grid (SEE-Grid) is proposed. The goal of SEE-Grid is to enable the efficient share and collaboration among the distributed heterogeneous experimental facilities in Structural Engineering field. The OGSA-oriented architecture of SEE-Grid is present. The structural engineering experiment state model is designed to support distributed experiment management. The transaction-based experimental facility operation control protocol is elaborated to improve the reliability of remote facility control. The data flow management model based on the hierarchical data buffer and queue mechanism is discussed in detail to support the remote observation of experimental data. Experiment results show that SEE-Grid provides good support for remote experiment management and real-time experimental data tele-observation, so as to be a good solution to integrate and share the distributed heterogeneous experimental facilities.
