Abstract:
The physical and mechanical properties of Crumb Rubber Recycled Aggregate Concrete (CRRAC) are studied. The test results show that the workability of fresh CRRAC is improved by incorporating of crumb rubber, and the density of CRRAC can be reduced significantly. The compressive strength and splitting strength of CRRAC are close to that of crumb rubber concrete, but much lower than that of recycled aggregate concrete. After modified by redispersible polymer powder which plays a role of 'bridge' it improves the crack resistance ability of CRRAC. The ratio between splitting strength and compressive strength increases significantly. That means the plastic deformation capacity of CRRAC was improved.
