Abstract:

To solve the difficult problem of construction analysis for cable dome, the method of nonlinear time-varying mechanics is adopted to analyze the construction process of cable dome in this paper. The structural characteristics in every construction stage are analyzed by time-varying mechanics, and the variations of internal force and displacements are obtained, the paper reaches a conclusion that it is not safe to design if the time varying effect is not considered in the construction process analysis. At last, advices on design and construction of cable dome are made.
